Rochell Gill III, known as “Big Jr.” was born December 17, 1962 to the late Rochell Gill II and the late Gloria Owens Gill in Chicago, Illinois.
He attended Hallsville Public Schools and was a graduate of Marshall High School. He later joined Saint Paul’s Baptist Church in 1996.
During his life he was employed in various labor related positions. He enjoyed listening to music, cooking and spending time with his family.
Rochell married Deborah D. Wilkerson Gill and born into that marriage was a daughter, Canisha Nicole Wilkerson Gill currently of Shreveport, Louisiana. Rochell and Deborah created a blended family that included Renisha Wilkerson and Courtney Demery, both of Texarkana, Texas.
Morning his death and cherishing his memory are his children; his siblings, Pauline Owens Jones, George Gill (Paula) of Hallsville, Texas, Stanley Thomas of Greenville, Texas, Steve Gill of Marshall, Texas, Clarissa Gill and Patrick Gill, both of Little Rock Arkansas; 5 grandchildren; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
