Obituary for Maple Williams

Maple Williams was born Maple Turner on December 6, 1948, in Marshall, Texas to Mr. Emmeridge Turner and Mrs. Thelma Dunn Turner. She died September 30, 2021 at home in Longview, Texas.

Maple attended Elysian Fields Public Schools and graduated from H.B. Pemberton High School. Later, she met James Earl Williams. They married on October 16, 1971. To this union one daughter, Marsha Gail Williams was born. James preceded her in death on November 16, 1996.

Maple was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She truly enjoyed caring for others. Maple’s work history consisted of being a caretaker in homes and later switching to the healthcare industry, obtaining certification to become a Nurse Assistant.

Maple was baptized as a Jehovah’s Witness. She was a member of the Marshall West Congregation Kingdom Hall. She was steadfast and firm in her faith and belief in the teachings of the Bible frequently referencing, John 5:28-29 and Acts 15:24.

Maple is survived by 1 daughter, Marsha Gail Williams; 4 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 5 sisters; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
