Kathy was born December 19, 1962, to the late Murry Gooch and Mary A. Rudd in Marshall, Texas. She attended Marshall Public Schools, received a GED and obtained a certificate as Certified Nurse Assistant. Kathy accepted Christ in her life and joined Macedonia Baptist Church at a early age. She was employed with Marshall Independent School District for 20 years and later began working at Christus Good Shepherd (HHS) in Marshall until her passing.

Kathy was preceded in death by one son, Jermaine Rudd Sr.; one son-in-law, James Wilder; two sisters, Harriett Rudd and Ruth Doris Rudd; three brothers, Jerry Dale, Terry Rudd, and Timothy Rudd; one brother-in-law, Thomas Trammer; and one sister-in-law, Marilyn Rudd.

She leaves to cherish her memory two daughter, Elisa Morris, Mary Wilder; daughter-in-law, QueShunda Rudd all of Marshall, TX; one son, Terrance Rudd of Marshall, TX; two brothers, Randy (Bobbie) Rudd of Longview, TX and Larry Rudd of Marshall, TX; two sister, Bevelon Trammer of Dallas, TX and Gloria Leachman of Marshall, TX; six grand-daughters, five grandson, one great grand-daughter, one great grandson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
