Obituary for Juanita Biggers (Allen)

An identical twin, Juanita Allen Biggers was born November 6, 1921 in Harrison County, Texas to George Allen and Rosie Edwards Allen. She gained her wings on September 4, 2022.

Mrs. Biggers joined Hickory Grove Baptist Church at an early age. She also attended Macedonia Baptist Church, later moving her membership to Ebenezer Methodist Church where she remained a faithful member until her death. She received her education in the Marshall Public Schools.

Mrs. Biggers was married to Mack Arthur Biggers (deceased) and they were the proud parents of one son, Kenneth Tyrone Biggers.

She was a retired domestic worker, caregiver and housewife who enjoyed helping others and cooking. She also enjoyed working in her Church Circle and singing in the Gospel Choir. She delighted in spending time with her son, grandchildren, family members and friends. Her favorite pastimes were reading the bible, telling people of the love of God, fishing, traveling to different places, spending time with her great-great niece Mona Bradley, playing Bingo with her Nursing Home family and dancing. She loved music and a good party. She loved people, but most of all, she loved the Lord her God.

Mrs. Biggers was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers: Clifton Allen, Sr., Whitaker Allen, Sr., Simmie Allen, Emory Allen, Clint Allen and James Allen; three sisters: Georgia Allen Walker, Helen Marie Allen Jackson and Bernice Allen Dunn.

She leaves to cherish her memory one son, Kenneth (Lavedia) Biggers - Killeen, TX; Two grandchildren: Dominique (Iranecia) Biggers - Alexander City, AL and Ramona Biggers - Austell, GA; three step-grandchildren; Breanna Toombs - Newport News, VA, Markiah Johnson and Darius Johnson - Lexington Park, MD; nine great-grandchildren; six step-great-grand children, a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Her extended family includes a faithful “sister/daughter/friend,” “T” as she so fondly called her (Theressa Hudson), her husband “Phil” Phillip Hudson; two surrogate daughters, Gail Morrow, Vickie Turner Grayson, her Nursing Home Roommate, Mrs. Gerean Shrubb and a community of faithful friends and acquaintances.
