Obituary for John Richardson Sr.

John Arthur Richardson, Sr. was born July 3, 1954, to Mr. Willie Richardson and Mrs. Ethel Lee Richardson in Marshall, Texas.

He was a student within the Marshall public school system and a proud graduate of Marshall High School, Marshall, Texas, Class of 1972. John devoted his life to Christ and began his Christian journey at Full Gospel Holy Temple Church in Houston, Texas.

Following high school, John began his career as an owner/operator truck driver.

John met and married Michele Rena Butler. To this union, they had two children, John, Jr. and LaKeishia. The foundation of his family followed Christ’s teachings. He became a member and Deacon of Upper Room Pure Truth Ministry in Marshall, Texas.

In his spare time, he enjoyed singing and talking on the CB radio with fellow truckers.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Ethel Lee Richardson; wife, Michele R. Butler; two sisters, Nettie Richardson and Ruth Beasley; one brother, Donald Richardson; two nephews, Lonzy Perry, Jr. and Ricky Beasley; one niece, Teresa Vance.

Left to mourn his passing and cherish his memory are his children, John A. Richardson, Jr. (Tanya) and LaKeishia Richardson; grandchildren, Alasia Richardson, Shawn Asberry, Jr., John A. Richardson, III, Jacob A. Richardson, Kenzie Michele Arnold, Aaliyah Richardson; sisters, Rosie Hammet, Doris Stokes, Mary Vance-Williams (Albert), Willie Pearl Austin (Winfred), Velma Hamilton (Jimmy), and Beverly Steward all of Dallas Texas; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
