Obituary for John Davis Jr.
Mr. John Davis Jr. was born November 27, 1946 to John W. Davis, Sr. and Velma Reddick Davis in Marshall, Texas. He peacefully entered into the eternal presence of Christ on Sunday, May 14th, 2023 in Garland, Texas.
John was educated in Marshall public schools. After high school, he was employed as a presser at Marshall City Laundry for many years. John united with Christ at an early age, maintaining membership at Edwards Chapel Baptist Church in Marshall.
John enjoyed spending time with family and the many friends he had within his neighborhood. He also enjoyed fishing and cooking his catch.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John W. Davis Sr. and Velma Reddick Davis; and sisters, Nobbie Ferguson and Johnnie Davis Wilson.
Left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory are sisters, Charlene Law and Patricia Davis, both of Marshall, Texas, Dorothy Dudley of Garland, Texas, Brenda (Charles) Watts and Winifred (Leon) Spikes, both of Dallas, Texas; brother, Charles (Patricia) Davis of Marshall, Texas; aunt, Maxine Reddick of Dallas, Texas; brother-in-law, Donald Ferguson of Ovilla, Texas; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
