Obituary for Hazel Johnson (Epps)
Sister Hazel Ruth Epps Johnson was born on December 13, 1951 to the late Edward L. and Dorothy Morris Epps. She married Semmey Ray Johnson and together they had 3 sons. She and the late Jewel Nickerson were parents of a daughter.
She united with the Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church at an early age.
She was a member of the H.B. Pemberton High School Class of 1970. She has employed by Merritt Plaza Nursing Home, American Norit (Darco), and Mastek Inc. in Dallas, Texas. She loved God, her family, and people in general. Hazel enjoyed playing cards and dominos. She was a very kindhearted person willing to help anyone.
She is preceded in death by two sons (Semmey Jr. and Terence Johnson (SIDS), parents, grandparents, Arthur/Bessie Epps); Robert/Alonia Morris.
Those left to cherish her memory are: a daughter, Aimee (Larry) Jenkins; one son, Rodrick Keith Johnson; 2 sisters, Loretta Gregory of Marshall, Texas and Vivian Edwards of DeSoto, Texas; one brother, George Edwards Epps of Marshall, Texas; grandson, Dedrick (Donna) Williams of Longview, Texas; 3 grandchildren, Alana Olivia Williams, Mahki Milton McLaren Williams and A’ryanna Brashay Williams; a long time special friend Paula Foster; a host of cousins, friends, and family.
