Obituary for Debora McMillan

Debora Denise Williams McMillan was born November 22, 1962 to Juanita Gooch Williams and Jimmie Dee Williams Sr. in Harrison County.

At an early age Debora accepted Christ and united with West Side Church of Christ. Later on in life she united with Longridge CME, where she remained a faithful member until the pandemic.

She attended JH Moore Elementary School and graduated with the Class of 1981 from Marshall High School. Following school she began working at Marshall Manor Nursing Home and later at Hallsville Independent School District for a number of years.

Debora’s hobbies included playing bingo, cards, watching her favorite TV shows; Sista’s, Walker Texas Ranger, Let’s Make A Deal and anything on Lifetime. Her most enjoyable activities were ones spent with her family.

Debora and Joseph Anthony McMillan were united in holy matrimony on July 23, 1994. Their marriage blessed them with six children in Marshall, Texas.

Debora was preceded in death by their son, Adrian Demon “Fat” Smith; her parents and grandparents.

She leaves to cherish her memory; her husband, Joseph “Tony” McMillan; five children, Tank (LaTanya) Smith of Marshall, Texas, Nate (Ann) Grisby of Huntsville, Texas, Jarvis (Maria) McMillan, Quana Bowen and Apollonia Campbell all of Houston, Texas; nine brothers, Jimmie (Sandra) Williams, Terence (LaToyia) Williams, Alfred (Lisa) Miles, Londell (Pamela) Brown, Roderick Williams, Richard Williams and Patrick Smith, Emille Miles and Walter Miles all of Marshall, Texas; six sisters, Renita Williams, Angela Williams, Monica Miles, Gwendolyn Miles, Jean (Nathan) Cooper all of Marshall, Texas and Glinda Chaseberry of Longview, Texas; a special granddaughter, Amayai Spears; 16 additional grandchildren; four great-grandchildren a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
